About

I’ve been playing around with the idea of a curated market full of beautiful products that are also good for the planet. There is so much noise on the internet right now, an infinite array of options to choose from, and a lot of misinformation to misguide us. How can we help consumers make better choices with less overwhelm? How can we be intentional about the products that we feature, what would be the criteria? How can we present the products’ unique qualities in a way that helps users understand what they are buying at a glance? Here’s a few shots of my explorations to these questions.

Mega Menu

In this mega menu design, I explored ways in which we could show users our top picks or promote a specific products, while also letting them shop by categories and attributes according to their consumer values.

Shop All page with "shop by attributes”

Product Cards

Other than including the basic information in the product cards (product name, price, and brand) I also added a short, one-sentence text component as an opportunity to highlight some of the features that make the product stand out. This can be anything from a short description to a social proof / review quote that provides context for the user without having to go into the product detail page.

Product Detail Page

The product detail page is full of instances for the user to learn about the product quickly. There are tags which let the user know which main attributes the product has (ex: organic, handmade, plastic free) as well as a “why we love it” section where we can highlight the 3 main things to know about this product. Lower on the page there is a section for product certifications, and a paragraph on ”impact” where we can go deeper and educate the user on why a specific attribute/feature matters.
